MyEDHelp.com can help you eating disorder recovery by offering a community of supportive people and positive resources

With the gaining popularity of on-line interaction comes a website called MyEDHelp.com. This pro-recovery resource is packed with articles, interactive tools, facts, a treatment finder and much more.

The site was created to help the millions of women who struggle with eating disorders, but feel isolated from others. The transition from a safe haven of a treatment center can be difficult, but MyEDHelp assists in keeping the recoverer connected with others who are doing the same.

The philosophy of the founders is a well-balanced and thorough look at all of the daily triggers and issues that impede recovery. Their goal is to help individuals develop a life outside of their eating disorder in order to keep going on the path to recovery.

The articles provided cover everything from coping with relationships and co-dependency, to eating disorder stories and a “personal bill of rights.” By signing up to become a member, visitors have access to the ED Help Network of news, resources and support.

Membership includes:

- meeting others who are in recovery

- participating in chat rooms

- creating your own personal web space

- getting the inside scoop on the latest happenings

- becoming a contributor to the site

- gaining access to educational materials and tools to enhance self-esteem, assertiveness and communication

Setting the goal to have 2500 members by 2008, MyEDHelp is teaming up with TeamBraeden to raise funds for those who need treatment. They’re also committed to donating part of their proceeds to individuals who are in recovery.

You can join the support network by visiting: www.myedhelp.com

Spread the word, share your story and be involved in recovery!
